She's covered the Lakers, Clippers, Kings, Ducks, Dodgers, Angels, Galaxy, a wide range of USC athletics and local high school sports. Some of the events McKenna has covered include Shaquille O'Neal's jersey retirement, USC Pro Day, Lakers Media Day and the Clippers, Dodgers, Kings and Ducks in the postseason. She's also worked as a sideline reporter for several high school football and basketball games in Southern California. She posses the ability to meet deadlines and produce quality content while balancing a number of tasks in up-tempo and dynamic environments.

McKenna's passion for sports stems from her relationship with her father. She was raised by a single dad and bonded with him by watching and attending sporting events throughout her childhood. That passion continues to evolve as she gains valuable experience working in the sports media industry. McKenna loves the way sports can connect people from all walks of life and feels sports can serve as a great common denominator to bring together diverse audiences. McKenna is passionate about storytelling and engaging with people, which makes sports journalism the perfect field for her.

Currently McKenna works on the newsdesk and the ticker at NFL Network where she is proving herself at the heart of the nation's largest sports league. She also works in the studio operations department at Time Warner Cable Sports where she helps produce live and original content for the Lakers, Dodgers, Galaxy and Sparks exclusive television networks and digital platforms. McKenna is also the head of social media for USC Rivals, a Yahoo Sports publication, and is responsible for creating engaging and informative Facebook and Twitter posts on a daily basis. She also live-tweets USC football and basketball games, covers breaking news and monitors engagement and analytics for the accounts. McKenna also works as a reporter for Rivals.com providing comprehensive coverage of USC sports and recruiting for the subscriber-based website. She conducts on-camera interviews, writes practice and game recaps, feature stories, and interacts with subscribers on the message boards. McKenna took advantage of USC's award-winning newscast, Annenberg TV News, and gained real-world experience as a sports anchor, producer, assignment desk editor, and day-of-air reporter. McKenna worked as a one-man-band reporter by researching, shooting, writing and editing day-of-air packages for ATVN. She also produced, wrote, and delivered unique and compelling weekly 5 minute sportscasts during her time as a sports anchor in the state-of-the-art ATVN studio. McKenna also worked for the Ronnie Lott Impact Trophy Foundation and was the Director of Communication for the USC Sports Business Association during her time at USC.
When she is not working towards achieving her professional dream, McKenna enjoys working with kids, scuba diving, volunteering in her community and spending time with family and friends.
Growing up McKenna was a competitive gymnast, dancer and cheerleader. She continued with competitive cheerleading until her junior year of college. During her time on the USC Cheer team McKenna served as co-captain and marketing chair. She was forced to retire after suffering a serious concussion and back injury. McKenna's time as a competitive athlete and experience performing in front of large audiences have helped her to thrive under pressure.
